"It" no longer has director

0

Just cancel it already

Well... It is supposed to start shooting in mid-June, but over the weekend, the adaptation of the Stephen King-classic It, has lost its director, Cary Fukunaga. It is a shame, isn't it?

According to Deadline, the True Detective director has parted ways with New Line over budgetary conflicts. It may also stem from creative differences, seeing as they've yet to decide on a final draft of the script. This final piece of information underlines a very real issue in Hollywood, where movies begin to film before anyone even knows what they are doing.

Should It move forward as planned, it means It has to find a new director within a month. It won't be easy, will it? I don't think it will.
