It’s that time of year again, folks. It’s the time of year where the bigwig films are all vying for an Academy Award nomination. It’s going to be an interesting year given the amount of spectacular films that debuted this year. While we won’t know the official Academy Award nominees until January, we can’t start narrowing down our lists for our office Oscar pools and such.
Below (thanks to /Film) we now have 19 animated films that have submitted for Academy Award consideration. I’m personally fighting for The Croods and Epic myself. They’re not perfect films, but they’re absolutely gorgeous. And Disney’s Frozen? If early buzz is any indication, there’s no doubt in my mind it’ll get that nomination. Any film you’re hoping gets a nom? The Wind Rises, maybe? The 86th Annual Academy Awards are underway March 2nd next year.
