The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Gallery 1988 (which we’ve featured on this site before) commissioned a set of artists to create a batch of one sheet posters to celebrate this year’s nine Best Picture nominees. My favorite of the bunch is Rich Kelly’s take on Beasts of the Southern Wild (which I still haven’t friggin’ seen yet!) because it’s hard to deny it’s gritty beauty. I’ve selected a few standouts for the gallery, but you should definitely see the rest of the bunch over at their main site.
