Perry have both teamed up with Oren Peli again for the third film. It’s also been revealed that Paranormal Activity 3 will come out on October 21, 2011, though no plot details have come leaking out yet.
I’ve also got an update on something that completely slipped under my radar. Apparently there’s a spinoff sequel that’s not a remake or a parody. Paranormal Activity 2: Tokyo Night is written and directed by Toshikazu Nagae and follows “a Japanese student who brings the ghost home with him from a trip in San Diego, thereby unleashing it in Tokyo.”
Tokyo Night is set to come out on DVD next month so we’ll be sure to give it a review and let you know if it’s worth seeing to tide you over until the release of the third film in the main trilogy. You can watch the trailer here.
