By We’re a movie site, and as such, we primarily report on movies. However, for this week’s NRT, I’d like to spotlight the release of the first season of AMC’s The Walking Dead. For those of you not in the know, The Walking Dead is based on the popular Image comic of the same name by Robert Kirkman. It’s like a never-ending Romero zombie film, and there’s nothing wrong with that! I’m pretty nit-picky when it comes to comic adaptations, but TWD does alright most of the time.
On the top of the pile as far as filmy new releases go, we’ve got an apparent re-release of Exit Through the Gift Shop (because, really, who can get enough of that rascally scamp Banksy?), the third theatrical installment of the wildly popular Jackass franchise, and Inside Job, the award-winning, Matt Damon-narrated documentary about the financial crisis.
Not much else to crow about this week, but that’s okay because I’m neck deep in Pokemon White. All of this week’s releases can be found after the jump, and as always, what will you be picking up this week?
