You’ve read our thoughts on Scream 4 – you have, haven’t you? – but what about the opinions of Tommy Edison, a film critic completely lacking in sight? What does he think of this movie, minus the moving parts?
Unsurprisingly, it’s pretty hard to follow. Edison notes that there are sections 4-5 minutes long with no dialogue at all, and the character development is naturally weak. He does note that the sound is pretty great, though most of that comes down to it being loud, which doesn’t seem like the best way to judge the audio.
To be fair to Scream 4, I question how scary it would be if people were chatting it up all the way through like they were in some Tarantino film. Still, Edison raises good questions about how accessible films like this are to the visually impaired. He does think those with sight might enjoy it, but I suppose being blind really limits your options when it comes to movies, though not as much as videogames.
