Having a streak of bad luck today? Lose your keys? Get a flat? Late for work? Get chased around a camp/New York/outer space/your house/hell/the woods/a cabin/RV park/etc. by a guy in a hockey mask with a machete (or possibly his mother)? Check your calendar; today is Friday the 13th. And what kind of self respecting film blog would be be if we didn’t do something about it.
We’re above the old cliches of making a top ten kill list or ranking our favorite Jason movies, but we’re not above making you fall into those cliches. Let us know what your favorite Jason Voorhees moment was and why in the comments or if you’ve got a lot to say over in the community blogs.
My favorite? It’s got to be Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter (Freddy vs. Jason is so close behind). Aside from having one of the most hilarious names in retrospect for any movie ever it was doing the whole self-aware Scream thing way before it was cool. Seriously, check it out. It’s awesome. Oh, and the best kill is above. Well, maybe not the best, but definitely the most ridiculous.
