World War Z ending the world on December 21, 2012

Bet you’ve been wondering when you can expect the zombie apocalypse to come along. Not the real one of course (that’s coming but no one can be sure when), but World War Z‘s film adaptation. We’ve got a date now and it’s December 21 so be ready with your zombie survival gear.

The film is entering into what is already a pretty heavy holiday seasons with the likes of Lone Ranger, Hunter Killer and Life of Pi. Of course none of those has Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Anthony Mackie, James Badge Dal telling their tale of zombie woe. They’re also not based on one of the most impressive pieces of zombie fiction to come along in a good amount of time. 

Now to dig the book off my bookshelf.
