Curious to know what the next guaranteed Academy Award nominated film is going to be called? It’s Inside Llewyn Davis and its going to be nominated because it’s directed by the Coen brothers and produced by Scott Rudin and Robert Graf. This team brought us both True Grit and No Country for Old Men so I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet that Inside Llewyn Davis is going to be good.
We already knew that the bros were putting together a film based around the rebirth of folk music in 1960s New York, but with the reveal of the title comes a few more plot points. Obviously, the main character is named Llewyn Davis and the film will follow him as he navigates through the folk scene of New York during the 60s. Doesn’t sound like much, but with the Coen brothers ability to make almost anything interesting and a reported script that uses a very natural style I think we’ll once again be seeing something very unique and interesting from the pair.
