By Here’s the trailer everyone in jolly old England will be watching for Moneyball, the story of Billy Beane and the Oakland As. Beane got together with Ivy league grad Peter Brand and used maths to put together a team capable of winning games on a shoestring budget.
The trailer itself seems to lose steam halfway through, but it’s not enough to kill my mild interest in the film. It’s been a little while since I sat down with an inspirational sports movie about the underdogs winning, and this might fit the bill.
