Trailer for Movie: The Movie probably not a trailer

Uhhh… So, okay, Jimmy Kimmel Live is responsible for making “I’m f*cking Matt Damon!” a household phrase, and it looks like the show is about to reproduce that magic with Movie: The Movie, one of the silliest effing things I’ve ever seen. There are about two dozen triple-A stars cast in this thing, including Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Martin Scorsese, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Don Cheadle, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Samuel L. Jackson, Cameron Diaz, JJ Abrams, Jessica Biel, Jason Bateman, Tyler Perry, Edward Norton, Colin Farrell, Ryan Philippe and many more. If not for the fact that half of it made absolutely no sense, it probably wouldn’t be as hilarious as it is.

It starts off dumb enough, with its cliche commentary on modern cinema, but once you allow the stupidity to wash over you, you can sit back and enjoy it… It’s pretty long, too. Coming in at under 10 minutes, it’s one of the longer videos of its kind. I dare say it puts those fake Tropic Thunder previews to shame in terms of sheer lunacy and social commentary. It’s pure insanity, and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about once you hit the 6:30 mark.
