The first trailer for Jack Reacher, Tom Cruise’s further attempts to re-solidify himself as an action star, has hit, and it looks like someone ran Drive through the Hollywood Action Movie Mill. That bit of snark aside, there could be an entertaining action movie here, since Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol did show that Cruise still has the chops for this kind of action work. Frankly, more people are going to be paying attention to Cruise’s pending divorce with Katie Holmes for the hopes that it reveals him even more as some kind of crazy person forcing his cult on his wife and daughter, so I doubt this movie will get a lot of notice other than “The new one Crazy Cruise is in.”
Now I just want to start a Crazy Cruise line, where you take cruises while everyone on the boat staff does their best to drive you insane. Fun for all ages!
