The Dark Knight Rises has once again topped the box office, beating out the weekend’s new releases of Total Recall and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. The purported budget for the Total Recall remake is around $120m+, making its $26m opening dismal and a bit of a failure. Of course, there’s a chance for its theatrical run to recoup some of that back, but numbers tend to go down following a film’s release. It’s a sad day for all PKD fans.
