By So the on again off again sequel to Dumb and Dumber is apparently on…again. According to Bobby Farrelly, one half of the dynamic duo that is the Farrelly brothers, both Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are once again interested in reprising their roles as long as everything can fall into place schedule-wise. They’re looking for a 2013 release date, so yeah, good luck with that guys!
In order to whet everyone’s whistle Mr. Farrelly dropped some plot details they have in mind for the sequel. He has been quoted as saying “The story revolves around the fact that one of them may have sired a child. They want to go and find the child because he’s having a kidney problem and he wants to ask him for one of his kidneys.” Wow…I can already feel that the wait will have been worth it!
Sarcasm aside, that’s about as broad as a plot synopsis can get, so whose to say how the actual film will turn out with all the details sorted out. I really do think if Carrey and Daniels manage to stay on board, the movie has a better than average chance of actually being funny. Of course, if the Farrelly brothers don’t get their act together, we may have another Three Stooges on our hands
