By Those rumors about an extended cut of The Dark Knight Rises just got nuked. People close to Christopher Nolan have stated that there are no plans to release an extended cut of The Dark Knight Rises on Blu-Ray. They also state that no extended cut of the film exists. If The Dark Knight Rises follows suit with other Nolan releases, don’t expect to see any deleted scenes on the DVD or Blu-Ray release either.
We do know that Bane’s origin story was shot (confirmed by costume designer Lindy Hemming) but cut from the final film. There was rumor about a four-hour rough cut, but that was likely raw material fashioned into the theatrical release.
As of now, there is no official information about the DVD/Blu-Ray release of The Dark Knight Rises.
