UPDATE: Roberto Orci has confirmed, via Twitter (using a single word no less), that Locke and Key is really getting a film trilogy! Original story below.
Several people in the comic world have told me that I’m missing out on awesomeness by not reading Joe Hill’s (Stephen King’s son) Locke and Key comic. Apparently the comic is about some haunted mansion filled with doors that mess up the people that go through them. While I’m sure there’s more to it than that, but it does sound pretty nifty, I’m a little more interested now that it got picked up by Universal.
Locke and Key was going to be adapted into a television series for Fox but the series was passed over for American Horror Story, according to Latino Review. Now the rights have been passed over to Universal, which is considering to adapt it into a film trilogy (because everything is now) with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman set to produce. I guess now’s a good a time as any to plow through the comics.
