Flix for Short: Heart

0

Heart by Erick Oh is a beautifully done 2D animated short. It’s an expressive and abstract story told without dialogue or voices. Heart instead relies on the movement of these characters and the tumult in the music. The figures in the film are these peculiar anthropomorphic shapeshifters, part Yves Tanguy, part Joan Miro, and part Floyd Gottfredson.

Oh currently works at Pixar (figures given the quality of his work) and his credits with the company include Fix Animator on Cars and Brave, and Animator on the forthcoming Monsters University.
