If you take Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) and Bill Paxton (Aliens) and put them into a movie together, what do you get? Well you would get two well-known, awesome supporting actors and give the movie they are in some potential kudos by having them both on the cast list.
The Colony, directed by Jeff Renfroe (One Point O, Civic Duty), is a science-fiction thriller starring the previously mentioned Laurence Fishburne, Bill Paxton, and also Kevin Zegers (Dawn of the Dead, Transamerica). The plot synopsis of the film is as follows:
Forced underground by the next ice age, a struggling outpost must fight to preserve humanity against a threat even more savage than nature.
It does look like the usual survival against all odds action movie with a sci-fi, wintery thriller twist thrown into it. And honestly, it looks like there could be some pretty good stuff in it.
