By In a probable attempt to shove this under the rug, Zack Snyder tweeted the first official poster for 300: Rise of an Empire (299) just a few hours after the Man of Steel trailer debuted a few days ago. There’s not much to say about it other than the fact that it looks super blue, and thus super sad, it’s just a film that’s probably going to fade into obscurity.
As mentioned when the plot details were revealed, this is still too same-y for a film that wants to distance itself from its predecessor by doing the exact same thing as its predecessor. But I guess the main question is: since the original 300 was over six years ago, does anyone care anymore? I honestly would love to be wrong here.
