By Since World War Z was unexpectedly not terrible, it made it all the way to second place managing to bump Man of Steel to third (which is expected after such a big opening). But the big victor this weekend was Monsters University. We may not have been able to review it, but apparently it was a nice first prequel for Pixar.
Other notable placements? I’m glad This is the End is still hanging around as it will spread through word of mouth and gain traction from here on out. The Bling Ring, otherwise known as the watered down Spring Breakers, didn’t even crack the top 10 given its limited release. Oh and Fast Six is in sixth. Groovy.
