By Los Angeles based gallery Hero Complex is opening a new show tomorrow, featuring — metal. Metal as a medium, metal as subject matter, robots, mechas, spaceships, you name it. The idea of creating a gallery show around how popular culture conceives of, deals with and is enamored by a particular material is pretty interesting… maybe there will be a show someday about wood or plastic.
