I have a real hard time getting excited about a Horrible Bosses sequel. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the first one, but did we need a sequel? Did Harold and Kumar need a sequel? Did Taken? No. They were fairly perfect ideas that would have been fine if left untouched, in my humble opinion.
Now that the plot synopsis of Horrible Bosses 2 is out, I feel even less enthused.
Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick, Dale and Kurt decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business in “Horrible Bosses 2.” But a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.
That’s a resounding “meh” from me. Now, Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay was good, and the Christmas movie is even better, but Taken 2 was abysmal. I feel like Horrible Bosses 2 could go either way, regardless of Chris Pine’s sexy eyes peering into your soul involvement.
What do you guys think?
