By Get the money, turtle turtle shell y’aaaaaaalllllllll. For some reason, folks still wanted to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last weekend despite having tons of mediocre options at their disposal. Not having seen it myself, I can’t explain why people are drawn to it though I’m sure it’s going to rule the rest of August too.
Ninja Turtles took the top spot with $28 million, Guardians of the Galaxy stays put in second (for some reason) with $24 million, and Let’s Be Cops takes third with $17 million, beating out Expendables 3, possibly because of it’s early start on Wednesday.
