By I have actually never watched an episode of the new My Little Ponies, but man are they popular. Like, scarily so. Who knows that it is. Well, I’m sure I could find plenty of fans who could tell me what it is, but that’s not the point. The point is that Hasbro has announced they’re going to make a big screen movie based on the franchise
Ice Age: Continental Drift’s Joe Ballarini is writing the screenplay, and it is unclear if it will be connected to the TV or not. Hasbro loves to take their toys and make big, blockbuster movies out of them so it’s possible this pushes away from the cartoon and offers a different take. We’ll hear more before the film’s release in 2017.
