By When rumor of a Six Million Dollar Man reboot starring Mark Wahlberg hit the mill a few months ago, it pretty much came and went with little fanfare. Maybe it’s due to the weak dollar making “Six Million” pretty much worthless, or no one wanting an adaptation of a TV show hardly anyone remembers. Either way, this is actually happening.
Except now it’s officially titled The Six Billion Dollar Man since it’s been adjusted for inflation. The film will be directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor), and is pretty much the story of a guy who gets in an accident but then gets rebuilt with bionic parts because folks had the technology. Anyone actually want this movie? Dimension wants to get it to theaters by 2016, so we still have a ways to go.
