By Johnny Depp may have a long career of play cartoony weirdos, but it seems like these days he can’t accept a job unless a role is draped in more oddness than you could shake a stick at. The latest cartoon he’s involved in is Mortdecai, where he plays an art dealer detective something something crazy mustache accent.
I get that the film is intentionally goofy (did you get a load of Gwyneth Paltrow’s accent? Yeesh), but this really doesn’t appeal to me. If it appeals to you, Mortdecai opens January 23 next year.
