By Zombie movies are a dime a dozen. Everything and anything you can think has probably been done at this point, so each zombie film is already starting in a hole. The best thing any film can do is be just kooky enough to stand out. The latest effort is Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, starring Tye Sheridan and some other kids as a bunch of mid-puberty boys trying to survive zombie attacks.
I love seeing kids in the apocalypse because you get a different perspective that you would otherwise, and the perspective shown here is one full of zombie boobs. Highly disgusting, but sort of rounds back around to being funny again. After seeing Tye Sheridan in Joe, I’ve been waiting to see what else he could do so I can’t wait to see what comes of this.
Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse opens just in time for Halloween.
