By The Star Trek Beyond trailer was supposed to debut with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Well, it leaked early, which means that Paramount pushed the release of the trailer to today.
Here is your first look of Justin Lin’s Star Trek Beyond, which comes out July 22nd.
As Flixist’s EIC Matthew Razak pointed out in staff emails, this looks like a great Justin Lin movie but an awful Star Trek movie. New Editor Nick Valdez chimed in: “The Star and Trekious.”
I’m amused and perplexed by the trailer, which looks like silly schlock but my kind of silly schlock. (Also, The Beastie Boys get a cheap pop out of me.)
Still no word on if Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will show up in the movie to do a Rock Bottom on a Klingon Bird-of-Prey through a freakin’ planet.
