By I’m not sure about kids today, but high school students of a certain age always wound up watching Dead Poets Society in English class. Its memorable final scene features a class full of boys bidding a powerful adieu to the man who inspired them to think for themselves by unorthodox means.
The season finale of SNL (hosted by Fred Armisen) spoofed/parodied that final scene of Dead Poets Society with this short sketch titled Farewell, Mr. Bunting. Just watch it.
