By The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2: Berandal opened things up for director Gareth Evans and star Iwo Uwais. Uwais is back in action for Headshot, a film co-directed by Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto. If Tjahjanto’s name looks a little familiar to you, it’s because he co-directed the “Safe Haven” segment in V/H/S 2. (You can read our interview with Evans and Tjahjanto here.)

The following is the actual and, as far as we know, official synopsis for Headshot:
Uwais plays a young man who washes ashore, an amnesiac with a serious head injury whose past comes back to haunt him shortly after being nursed back to health by a young doctor. Violence ensues. Sweet, sweet violence.
