By I don’t know if I’m necessarily excited about the release of xXx: Return of Xander Cage. There’s something really goofy and fun about The Fate of the Furious, but xXx is not the same sort of franchise with the same fond feelings. The Fast films are bro-y superhero action movies in a good way, while xXx is like a lower-tier Roger Moore James Bond movie.
Case in point, here’s a new clip of xXx: Return of Xander Cage. We have Vin Diesel in hot pursuit of Donnie Yen on motorcycles that turn into jet skis.
Yeah, just watch.
Vroom. Errrrrck. Splash. Kapow. Bort. Splonk. Vroom!
It’s goofy, it’s silly, it’s like some kids saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Spy Who Loved Me and thought, “Yeah, why not, brah?” If the excess is as goofy as it looks, I may give this a chance, even if just to see Donnie Yen in something.
