20th Century Studios has released a fresh, full-length trailer for The King’s Man, the upcoming World War I-set origin story for the (normally-titular) secret organization of the Kingsman franchise.
The trailer features all manner of alternate-history histrionics, including but not limited to: A sunken-cheeked, hissing Rasputin (Rhys Ifans), gasmask-clad trench warfare, sword-mounted cinematography, and a peek behind the curtains as to what really went down during the First World War.
Maybe. Maybe not.
In any event, Matthew Vaughn’s film looks like more fun for Kingsman fans, with a cast stacked with Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Djimon Hounsou, Charles Dance, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and more, it really is another massive spectacle for our entertainment. Personally I’m just here to see Ralph Fiennes slide into a bit of his M. Gustave mannerisms.
The King’s Man is set for a theatrical release beginning September 18th.
