Even though Starship Troopers is damn near a perfect piece of co-ed showering satire, and it’s already been remade perfectly by Matt Groening and co., Sony is prepping a remake from the same man that’s producing the Total Recall remake, Neal Moritz. The film is currently being written by Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz, writers of X-Men: First Class and some episodes of Fringe and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. At least that inspires a little hope in me.
This is a grand total of three Paul Verhoven flicks getting the remake treatment, the third being Robocop. Clearly, Showgirls need to be next, with Chad Concelmo as basically any character. Or all of them. Wait, sh*t, I might start bankrolling this myself.
