Here’s a shocker for you: Marvel and Pixar plan on releasing new movies in 2014. But which Marvel characters can we expect to see on the screen in the future? No one knows, really. Rumors of a Dr. Strange flick have been brewing recently, so there’s a good chance we might see that. But my money’s on Edgar Wright’s take on Ant Man, which has been a project on the director’s to-do list for years. And the fact that he and Joe Cornish (director of the brilliant Attack the Block) have turned in a second draft of the script only gives me hope.
And what of this new Pixar flick? I’m going to say it’s Pete Docter’s follow-up to Up. I mean, it’s about time he revealed just what he and his team have been cooking up for us. And knowing the timeline of a Pixar movie, it seems about right to have the movie release sometime in 2014.
Also of note is that Henry Selick, the director of Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas, has a new movie coming out in 2013. Naturally, no one knows what the movie is about. Stay tuned though!
