Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth sequel will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival

It’s been 10 years since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore’s seminal climate change documentary directed by Davis Guggenheim. While there have been major strides at addressing climate change and pollution worldwide, it might be too little and too late given the scope of the problem. Then again, we might have certain fixes available to us.That seems to be what the sequel to An Inconvenient Truth will be about. The unexpected movie will debut at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival in January.

Directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk (Audrie & Daisy), the film will feature Al Gore discussing the escalation of the problem in the last decade and what solutions may be available at the moment. Paramount will release the film some time in 2017.

Global Warming or: none like it hot! (In Animation)

It’ll be fascinating to see how this documentary is received by the mainstream now that we are living in a so-called post-fact world. President-elect Donald Trump’s baseless, mouth-breathing assertions that global warming is a Chinese hoax epitomize this worldview. Ditto his birther comments from several years ago.

Given my opinion on these matters, some readers may suspect I’m a no-good lizard person SJW. To that I say, look out for them chemtrails and keep investing in tin foil, bucko.

While there’s no official title for An Inconvenient Truth 2, I really hope it’s not An Inconvenient 2th.
