By As the release date for Steven King’s second film adaptation of the year, It, draws near (September 8), Alamo Drafthouse has announced that at least one of its theaters will house a clown-only showing. As if the movie weren’t terrifying enough already.
The Dark Tower has been a bit of a let down thus far having made only $88M on a production budget of $60M, not including marketing costs. If throwing clown parties is what it takes to help It succeed, so be … never mind. It’s predicted that all other movie showings at the local Alamo Drafthouse will bring in exactly zero dollars the day of Clowning Around.
