This first non-trailer clip of Thor isn’t particularly spoiler-y, as it’s about half footage we’ve already seen in the trailer. I have to say, though, it puts a slight dent in my enthusiasm for the film. While Kat Dennings is always enjoyable to stare at, the “comic relief” material she’s doing is both poorly-written and poorly-delivered.
Wuh-oh.
Also, we have another confirmed report of a cameo from one of Thor’s future fellow Avengers. For those of you trying to keep out the spoilers, I’m putting the details of that cameo below the cut. One thing I will mention, though, is that this cameo is not the usual post-credits stinger we’ve grown accustomed to in our Marvel movies. This is a part of the normal runtime of the film. So check it below the jump, if you dare.
[Via /Film]Still here? Ok, Jeremy Renner will be appearing for the first time as Hawkeye during the course of Thor. There is no confirmation that he’ll have more than his one scene. Here’s a description of the scene that’s been shown at CinemaCon:
The scene we saw featured Renner as Hawkeye, working with the infamous Agent Coulson, played as he was in the Iron Man movies, by Clark Gregg. The scene features Hawkeye using his famous bow and arrow and he has multiple lines, so while we’re talking about something a little more than a momentary cameo, there’s no way to know if his involvement will go any further than that one scene.
So we’re getting Hawkeye with his bow and arrows. No mention if he’s going to be in his superhero uniform or not, but reports are suggesting his suit will be more along the lines of early Ultimate Hawkeye than the purple spectacle in the normal Marvel universe.
