Marvel’s Phase Two will kick off in May with the release of Iron Man 3, but we’re already getting a sense of what’s going on in Phase Three. Kevin Feige spoke with MTV and confirmed that Ant-Man and Doctor Strange would both be in Marvel’s Phase Three. Concerning Ant-Man, Feige said the following:
It’s very much an Ant-Man origin movie from the perspective of Edgar Wright and his co-writer Joe Cornish. It will of course be firmly planted in the MCU, but a different corner than we’ve seen before.
Difference might be key in Marvel Phase Three, since Feige also characterized Doctor Strange as “totally different from anything else we have, like Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Ant-Man is slated for a November 2015 release. No word yet on Doctor Strange.
