Do comic books turn people into serial killers? The answer is a resounding “yeah, maybe” in this first trailer for Artik. The film follows one heavy-metal looking serial killer who’s obsessed with comics–and looks to use illustrations to immortalize his murders–teaching his son how to get away with their brutal crimes. A stranger named Holton comes across the boy and tries to rescue him from this life–but this long-hair Viking psychopath isn’t going to let that happen without a fight.
This is pure blood, sweat, and rage with metal and fire for good measure. I am very into the pulse-pounding violence this trailer threatens. I mean, did you see that kid just straight headbutt that bug on a tree? You see a kid do that on the playground, and you know he’s no one to mess with. That boy’s got the devil in him.
