During Marvel’s big San Diego Comic Con panel on Saturday (which brought lots of news for Marvel’s Phase Two including Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy), Joss Whedon announced that the sequel to the blockbuster The Avengers (formerly known as Untitled Marvel Avengers Sequel: 2015) , will now officially be titled Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Who’s Ultron? Ultron is a super robot guy who was recently at the center of the “Age of Ultron” mini-event (which disturbingly ran in the comics this year) in Marvel Comics. In the event, he basically just murdered a bunch of Avengers and there were alternate timelines and oh no this sounds confusing. While we all thought Thanos was going to be the big baddie for the sequel (thanks to that teaser and the end), it looks like he either might appear earlier (as in Guardians of the Galaxy) or later (a possible Avengers 3). And while this sounds very exciting, I’m going to hate explaining who Ultron is to everyone. What do you all think? Do you know who Ultron is?
