Bad Boys 3 is still something that could happen

Look, Bad Boys was an awesome movie and introduced us to Michael Bay, who has since created a genre named after him, and Bad Boys 2, well, it had explosions. But moving on beyond the second film now that so much time has passed seems almost utterly pointless. However, Martin Lawrence, says that we should still be expecting a third Bad Boys.

Speaking to Digital Spy Lawrence tried to distract the interviewer from his horrible looking Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son by talking about a franchise people actually care about. “They’re working on a script now,” he said of the third Bad Boys film. “That’s something I think looks very real. Will told me that he wanted to do it as well. Michael Bay I heard was on board and Jerry Bruckheimer. We’ll see.”

For Lawrence Bad Boys 3would make perfect sense because he’s got nothing else going on, but assuming Will Smith and Michael Bay have standards (big assumption for the latter) I don’t see why they would return to the franchise. Oh, wait, money. Lots and lots of money.
