By I’m not a fan of the concept that our country’s leader shouldn’t occasionally make appearances on casual talk shows, and certainly Presidents who are no longer in office have every right to indulge in any media events of their liking. However, I don’t think I need to remind anyone of Bill Clinton’s scandalous past. In my mind he had either been willingly crawling under the radar all these years, or was being shoved under the radar by his still-angry wife. So I was surprised to read this:
“According to People magazine, former President Bill Clinton will play himself in the sequel to last year’s blockbuster comedy, currently filming in Thailand. While Clinton was in the region giving speeches on clean energy and meeting world leaders, he dropped in and shot a brief appearance in the Todd Phillips-directed film.”
Whatever the scene is, I highly doubt it’s as innocent as John McCain’s “blink and you’ll miss it” cameo in Wedding Crashers. Maybe he’s wearing the pants in the relationship again, even if they are Galifianakis’s missing pants.
