By Zombieland 2 was already set to bring back the main cast that made the first one so much fun with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin all making their return. Even director Ruben Fleischer is coming back. The real surprise is that not only will Bill Murray also be making a return, but Dan Aykroyd will appear for the first time in the series.
Both actors are set to play fictionalized versions of themselves. Bill Murray’s self deprecating performance from the first movie led to one of it’s most memorable and entertaining scenes. It did also lead to his character’s death, but in a movie about zombies this prospect only makes me more excited to see what role he plays in the story. Given their storied comedy history, I’m sure this duo will work together to make an appearance even more fantastic and quotable than the first movie.
