WB Films released a new trailer for Birds of Prey this morning and the clip shows off a softer side of its main character, Harley Quinn. Seen recovering from a break up with The Joker after the events of Suicide Squad, Harley finds that she is being hunted by some jack ass in a black mask that wants her dead for unspecified reasons. Talk about a hard life.
There honestly isn’t much to look at here, but it does show the film in a more finalized state. The special effects don’t look as hokey, the editing is tighter, and I kind of dig the smooth music used to play over everything. This feels like a classier movie than DC has produced thus far, which is a good thing.
Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was easily the best part of 2016’s The Suicide Squad, so I’m all for the actress getting her own film. Hopefully, Birds of Prey doesn’t disappoint when it releases on February 7, 2020.
