There are many great conflicts in the history of film. They’re usually not pleasant. People don’t take kindly to confrontations. Scott C. wants to fix that.
His blog, The Great Showdowns, chronicles the cinematic history of our struggles against rivals, greedy businessmen, powerful sorcerers, unyielding robots, racism, and more. And no matter who is the good guy and who is the bad guy, they all do it with a smile on their face.
Sure, not all of these are actual showdowns, like Gene Kelly and a lamppost or Giselle and some animal friends, but it’s awesome to see characters face off with their nemeses, whether they are literal or figurative, like Gary Cooper and a clock. Oh, and everyone is adorably derpy.
