Box Office Numbers: First Weekend of 2015

So folks really like The Hobbit, huh? Crossing the $200 million mark domestically and $700 worldwide this past holiday weekend, lots of people are paying to see the CG wonderland. Naturally it took the top spot at the box office with $21 million, with Into The Woods coming in second with $19 million, and Unbroken rounding out the top three with $18 million. 

And it’s January sooooo don’t expect this list to change too much.
