By If you wanted to make a boat load of money this weekend, you had better have hoped your name was Rio. The film pulled in a cool forty mil, easily putting it above Scream 4 and everything else you could possible imagine. Yeah, it did well.
Of course, that means that the rest of the films this weekend did pretty modestly. Scream 4 actually had a respectable opening, but last week’s films lost some major momentum, and The Conspirator barely made the grade.
