I’ll keep the festivities short for this week. C2E2 was this past weekend, and my body still hasn’t recovered from the sensation overload of art, comics, cosplayers, geeks, and nerds. My other self definitely had a busy weekend, to say the least. It’d be too easy for Iron Man 3 to fit in, given Chicago’s weekend of superhero shenanigans, but alas, we have less than a week to go.
However, that didn’t stop Michael Bay, Mark Wahlberg, and Dwayne Johnson from getting into some of their own shenanigans as well, taking in $20m for Pain and Gain. From the reviews I’ve been reading, it seems like a good change of pace for Bay. The rest of this weekend’s box office numbers are below.
[via Rentrak]1. Pain and Gain – $20,000,000
2. Oblivion – $17,443,200
