By The Amazing Spider-Man topped the box office. Big surprise there, right? While its official weekend box office was a solid $65m, its total domestic revenue is already above $140m due to both its unorthodox Tuesday release and the July 4th holiday. The Summer of the Superhero Films is currently 2 for 2. With The Dark Knight Rises upon us towards the end of the month, I think it’s safe to say this summer will be a very good one for both Hollywood and comic book properties.
