By Emmy-winning actor and Vitamin Water spokesman Aaron Paul has joined the cast of HBO’s Westworld, according to Deadline. While his role is unknown at this point, Paul will be a regular cast member during the sci-fi show’s third season. Paul will actually be the second Breaking Bad star to have a prominent role in the show after Giancarlo Esposito made a brief appearance in season 2.
Speaking of season 2, count me in the minority of people who really enjoyed it. As complicated an existential as it was, I appreciated how it handled its complex themes, but I get why many found it tough to wrap their heads around its storytelling mechanics. But perhaps the addition of Paul will help win back former fans of Westworld—it’ll certainly be better than his film career so far, with gems like this very real scene from the Need for Speed film.
